Senior Character Artist at Industrial Light & Magic

Kurtis Dawe is a Senior Creature and Character Designer with over a decade of experience in feature films and television. He currently serves as a Senior Character Artist at Industrial Light & Magic, where his credits include Stranger Things (2025), Wicked (2024), and Deadpool & Wolverine (2024). Notably, Kurtis collaborated on the creation of Dumbo and Mrs. Jumbo for Tim Burton’s Dumbo and designed two titans for Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

Throughout his career, Kurtis has worked at Prime Ape Planet, Scanline VFX, Electronic Arts (EA), Double Negative, Method Studios, and Zoic Studios, contributing as a Creature/Character Modeler and Generalist. He has built an extensive portfolio of characters and creatures across film, TV, and games, and continues to pursue personal projects to refine and expand his sculpting skills.
