Eric Roin
Lighting Artist at Firaxis Games
Eric Roin is a Lead Unreal Engine Artist at Paramount Pictures and a graduate of Gnomon School of Visual Effects, Games, and Animation, where he earned his BFA. He specializes in real-time workflows using Unreal Engine, contributing to both cinematic and interactive productions.
His professional credits include major titles such as Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Mortal Kombat 11, the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the DC film Shazam!.
Prior to his current role, Eric worked as an Unreal Engine Technical Artist at The Third Floor and as an Unreal Engine Generalist at Zoic Studios. In addition to his industry work, he also teaches Unreal Engine to aspiring artists at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects, Games, and Animation, sharing his expertise in real-time production and virtual filmmaking.
Eric has contributed some really nice look-dev and Unreal assets for our current show. He demonstrated great communication skills and the ability to express his creative ideas and iterate quickly. He fitted in perfectly with our team, and was an a pleasure to work with.
