Covering a variety of techniques, including snappy timing, strong poses, and moments of pause, Benjamin instructs how to achieve a stylized look efficiently. He demonstrates his personal ideation methods using Clip Studio Paint to sketch, and details the tools he uses within the animBot plugin for Maya to achieve a faster workflow.


Upon completing this workshop, you will have the knowledge needed to analyze, ideate, and plan your own animations and feel confident creating compelling key poses. You’ll also know how to spline an animation and polish your animations for presentation. Benjamin Davis

Gameplay Animator at Riot Games

Benjamin Davis is a Los Angeles–based gameplay animator with a lifelong passion for bringing characters to life. A graduate of Gnomon School of Visual Effects with an emphasis in animation, he quickly transitioned into the gaming industry, combining technical skill with expressive, performance-driven animation.


Benjamin began his professional career at Santa Monica Studio, contributing to God of War: Ragnarok, before joining Riot Games to work on gameplay animations for League of Legends. He has since returned to Santa Monica Studio, where he continues to craft immersive and responsive character animation for AAA gaming experiences.
